# Delete a booking, and how long we keep data

Remove bookings you don't need, and what we delete automatically.

## Delete a booking

You can delete a booking that's **unpaid**, or one that has **finished**:

- On the booking, press **Delete booking**, or
- On [Your bookings](https://presenteringest.com/account), under **Past bookings**, press **Delete**.

Deleting removes the booking's seats and presenter links for good. Its invoices are kept, and stay under **Settings › Invoices**.

A paid booking can't be deleted while it's running, or while [auto-renew](https://presenteringest.com/help/account/auto-renew) is on.

## What we delete automatically

We don't keep data for longer than we need it:

| What | Deleted |
|---|---|
| Finished bookings, with their presenter details | 12 months after they end |
| Unpaid bookings | 30 days after they were made |
| Accounts with no bookings | after 12 months without use |
| Invoices and payment records | 6 years after the end of the financial year (as UK tax law requires) |

Want your account closed sooner? [Send us a message](https://presenteringest.com/contact) and we'll delete it, keeping only the invoices we're required to keep.
